`-Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer science, Information Systems, or another related field is usually required.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to implement data management and reporting solutions. Able to demonstrate capability to ‘tell stories’ with Data!
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills are necessary to recruit and manage a team of data analysts and other staff responsible for data management and reporting.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills are necessary to analyze data and identify trends and insights that can inform business decisions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills are necessary to identify and resolve data management issues and to develop innovative solutions to complex business.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in data management, data warehousing, business intelligence, analytics, and reporting are essential. Experience with ETL tools, SQL, and BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik is usually required.
- Design and implementation of KPIs for both the Business and the Data function!
- Industry Experience: Retail industry experience is highly desirable, as it allows you to understand the unique data needs of a retail enterprise. Experience with point-of-sale systems, inventory management systems, and customer relationship management systems is also highly desirable.

`-Analytics and Business Intelligence Strategy: You will be responsible for developing and implementing a business intelligence strategy that aligns with the company’s overall strategic objectives. This includes identifying opportunities for using data and analytics to improve business processes, reduce costs, and increase revenue.
- Data Management and Governance: you will be responsible for managing the company’s data assets, including data quality, data governance, data architecture, data modeling, and data security. You will define data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure that the company’s data is accurate and consistent across all systems. You will need to work closely with business teams to ensure they effectively manage and maintain good data quality and governance.
- Reporting and Analytics: You will be responsible for developing and managing the company’s reporting and analytics capabilities. This includes designing and implementing reporting and analytics solutions, such as dashboards, scorecards, and ad-hoc reports, to support business decision-making.
- Data Integration: You will be responsible for integrating data from various sources, such as point-of-sale systems, inventory management systems, and customer relationship management systems, into a centralized data warehouse. This involves designing and implementing data integration solutions that enable data to be extracted, transformed, and loaded into the data warehouse.
- Team Building: Up to now Profi has relied on third parties to deliver key Data capabilities. You will be responsible for working with them, but also building the team that allows us to bring this capability in house.
