As an IT Innovation Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing in technology IT framework definition through driving execution for new technology evaluation, adoption/roadmap of technical products and evaluation of new target versions of existing technologies.
Independently and efficiently scouting and evaluation of IT components, products, services, and technologies identifying opportunities, gaps and impacts on operating models. Working closely with all relevant entities (e.g. VCI, Security) to ensure optimum service quality and minimal operation costs while ensuring an innovative and best of breed portfolio of infrastructure components.
You’ll act as interface for the Vodafone Technology Standards process, with special focus on implication of scenarios and defining processes considering the Vodafone Cloud & Infrastructure technical ecosystem.
Also, you’ll provide technical guidance for the introduction of new technologies to allow Vodafone’s business functions and local markets to release Vodafone’s strategy on technology solutions.
With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:
- Within Vodafone Cloud & Infrastructure context, create high level design to ensure technical alignment between VCI teams and ensure timely project completion.
- Create POC and ORA environment to test and certify product capabilities and infrastructure solutions.
- Create and maintain documentation on to team confluence page, create technology roadmap with key milestone and keep them constantly up to date.
- Monitors progress on projects and ensures that projects are delivered according to VCI standards, processes, and governance.
- Accountable for management reporting for assigned projects.
- Define technology adoption plan, milestones and keep track of the activity’s status.
- Timely technology and product adoption fitting with overall VCI and requirements.
- Keep track of component and service catalogue for certified technologies.

- Understanding Public Cloud principles such as landing zone concept, network connectivity, security capabilities, storage, and backup solutions.
- Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies.
- Understanding of complex technical solutions and blueprints.
- Understanding of complex technical Lifecycle Management processes and principles.
- Fluent in English with ability to communicate at all levels, dealing with multicultural environments.
