You will report to our Head of Content Marketing & PR. The role is located in Bucharest, Romania and you can work in a hybrid work arrangement.
Job Description
Key Objectives
- Based on the plan drawn up by the Head of Global Demand Generation and also the Head of Content and PR, we will establish a strong content strategy to drive organic growth through high quality content.
- The Senior Content and SEO Specialist is responsible for building content for a brand-new satellite site from scratch. The role involves creating, writing and optimizing content to support Heimdal’s ambitious growth plans.
Main responsibilities
- Create Engaging Content: Developing high-quality written content that effectively communicates technical concepts and information to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Conduct Research: Gathering and analyzing technical information, market trends, and industry insights to improve the accuracy of content by monitoring the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires, social media sites and blogs.
- Writing SEO-Optimized Content: Applying search engine optimization (SEO) techniques to the content to improve its visibility in search engine results. This includes incorporating relevant keywords, writing meta descriptions, and structuring the content in a way that aligns with SEO best practices.
- Track Content Performance: Monitoring and analyzing the performance of the content, such as website traffic, engagement metrics, and conversions. This includes utilizing tools (such as Google Analytics, SEMRush, UberSuggest) and data to assess the effectiveness of the content and making data-driven decisions to improve future content strategies. Capture, measure and report on results e.g. traffic, time on site and authority score
- Staying Updated with Industry Trends: Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in consumer behavior. This enables the content writer to provide valuable insights, address emerging challenges, and create content that resonates with the target audience.
- Adhere to Deadlines: Managing time effectively and meeting deadlines for content creation and delivery. This involves prioritizing tasks, coordinating with other team members, and ensuring timely completion of projects. We will need to produce high quality information daily so pace will be key – however you’ll be able to leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT and CopyMatic.
- Continuous self-development: Engaging in ongoing professional development, staying informed about new technologies, marketing techniques, and content writing best practices. This helps in enhancing skills, expanding knowledge, and staying ahead in the evolving field of technical marketing content writing – particularly in such a fast paced industry such as cyber
- Share Information and Insights: Support other members of the team by sharing knowledge and experience in order to accelerate our overall team performance.
- Competitive Analysis: Carefully monitor all the actions of the content competitors in order to identify the best strategies to counter their actions and increase search engine rankings.
Key skills & attributes required
- An excellent technical communicator and writer
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment, with high adaptability and positive attitude
- Curiosity and willingness to learn about the market and products
- Experience writing on cybersecurity topics
- A winner mentality and competitive mindset. Hungry to win and overtake competitors with organic performance
- Very good understanding of Google Analytics, SEMRush, Uber Suggest
Education & Experience required
- 2 years if experience in B2B SaaS content writing, ideally for cyber
- Fluent in English; verbal and written. Other languages are a plus.
- Demonstrated success in running and growing organic content programs with clear KPIs.
- Good understanding of SEO and Google Analytics
- Good computer skills such as Outlook, MS Office and WordPress
