BAT ROMANIA IS LOOKING FOR A COMMERCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS ASSISTANT MANAGER

TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Performing specific tasks allocated by the line manager in the area of integrity, quality and reasonableness of the management and statutory reporting process, which includes monthly, half year and year end reporting exercises.
- Focus area will be to aid end market finance/Area finance team via:
- Maintenance of master data in line with global and end market hierarchies.
- Ensuring data integrity via monthly checks and putting action plan in place to remediate inconsistencies.
- Performing month-end/year-end closure activities.
- Preparation of monthly budget utilization report and high-level analysis of variations for further discussion with end market Commercial Finance team.
- Participation in monthly, quarterly and annual planning process via input of budgets into reporting system, preparation of MI Tracker report and high-level commentaries, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data in reporting system.
- Tracking of year-end accrual utilization.
- Preparing Customer/Channel/Brand profitability reports per end market need.
- Running SOX controls.
- Investigate and support issues related to but not limited to: open PO's, GR/IR, T&E, Reallocation Journals, Providing support to EAs / BPs for admin tasks under their remittance.
- Handle accounting policy and procedure inquiries and ad hoc reporting and analysis requests; provide periodic customer/site training.
- Ensure customer needs and relationships are fulfilled and enhanced through proactive involvement and interaction.
- Assist in automating processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and support control documentation requirements.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Degree educated or part qualified - studying for a professional accountancy qualification (i.e. ACCA/CIMA/AAT).
- Experience in global FMCG or similar multifaceted operating environment.
- Knowledge and ability to apply in practice key accounting principles and financial skills.
- Ability to run, process and analyse a big bulk of data.
- High proficiency in Excel and ability to build automated excel reports based on SAP/BPC data.
- Good analytical skills, ability to identify issues and challenges within reports functionalities and data.
- A detailed understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically SAP/ BI/BPC.
- Able to drive projects and process improvements and handle a remote customer base model.
- Meticulous, analytical, proactive, and can work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Good teammate able to work in a matrix structure and provide recommendations for continuous process improvement and simplification.
- High proficiency in English and excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge in identifying risks and in implementing controls.
